Brave soul that took the Freelander1 on a shoot................ hope they had a beefed up clutch for the offroady bits, or it was an auto (which was superb offroad!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

On Thursday I was greenlaning and we met a load of hunters. There were a few land rovers, a RRS S/C, a FFRR, a P38, and a couple of defenders, as well as other 'upper class' 4x4s- X5, X3, M class etc. They had to put down their champagne to move out of our way

Thanks VA, think it's pretty cool, shame about the logo but I don't think I can get anything that does the same without putting an ad on it for free. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

Andy I think you will find they are shooters not hunters. I shot and coursed for 5 years in a Fl, it never let me down as long as you make sure not to follow the tracks of others! |

I used to offroad my TD4 auto a lot until I started to break it trying to keep up with the big boys! Then I bought the 90 to save it from being totally trashed!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hunting is with hounds (technically the art of venery)and takes the for of hunting scenthounds (foxhounds, beagles, bassets and harriers) or sighthounds which is coursing (greyhounds, whippets, salukis, deerhounds) shooting is with guns (unless with a rifle for deer when it is stalking!) What you saw in all liklihood was a driven pheasant shoot, which I presume is what RRUK was up to. |

Probably not VA, but don't shout it out as I can already hear guns on the hill above my house and it's only 9:30am! Wouldn't want to spoil their day. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
