IS ANYONE ELSE AT WORK!!?

Hi..

Is it me, or is our company like the only company back at work today!?
Seems the whole world is still asleep.. feel like a scrooge making all the staff sit here today.. im taking time, surfing the web, looking for cars as usual, and catching up on forum chat.. but you know.. at least we're here if anyone needs us.. Crying or Very sad Embarassed

Just been taking some time ebaying around looking for a model of my latest car.. Have models of both my RRS and RS4.. (be it they aren't the same size. Crying or Very sad Embarassed ) and have found these on ebay:

http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZradz72QQhtZ-1

Not exactly right, mine is graphite with cream leather.. but im afraid i won't beable to find the exact one, so shall i bite the bullet and just buy one, or should i hang around!?

hmm.. decision of the week this is.. Confused

Kam,

Business as usual here today, however for us that means internet only business - so I'm working from home and have two people in the office until 1pm Cool

Obviously not at work tomorrow Tim

I went off roading yesterday, very costly as i think my air intake from my snorkel has developed a leak and i went through some rather deep water needles to say the engine is now very poorley, Landlord wasn't impressed, but at least he didn't get a wet arse Embarassed

Its now gone away to have the engine rebuilt, I might keep it now as it aint worth me selling it Rolling Eyes some of my Previous cars

Don't go back to work until the end of Jan Cool Cool Cool but then I'm stuck with 24 hours a day for 4 months on duty before returning to 4 months hols!

I know all about drowning engines............. fortunately mine wasn't terminal, but I managed to stall the Def in water up to intake level. The problem was not it coming down the intake but back down the exhaust! I now have a Safari Snorkel and a full set of axle and gearbox breathers fitted to it to save further embarrassment! I'm looking at fitting a new chassis to mine in 2007 as it's 10 years old and the specialists who do my servicing and MOT's reckon I will not be getting many more MOT passes due to corrosion setting in. Mine had a new rear crossmember last winter. So like you I'm looking at having to keep mine a few years more to recover the cost of the re-chassis, was intending to sell it next summer and reduce to 1 Landy, but it isn't going to be, I'll just have to keep the Sport for a few years more too after paying for the work on the Def! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think i could handle 4 mths on and 4 mths off, but it must be difficult to go back to work after your break

fortunately my chassis was treated a long time ago and i had it painted not long ago, so it should last a quite a bit longer, but after all the work done, like yours and mine it just isnt worth selling. some of my Previous cars

We must arrange an RRS.co.uk Defender owners offroading day sometime as there are several other Def and RRS owners on the forum. Smarticus for one, and he has holiday lets in the Lakes too!
