Corrie Yarrick Pass is the only public right of way in Scotland........ it's also a historic national monument and the rules are that cannot drive off the track and you must repair any damage that you do. It is cobbled for part of the way andd is the highest public right of way in the UK. It was built in 1745 by general Wade to get the redcoats quickly across Scotlæand to quell rebellion. It isn't an easy drive, but is is nice. It runs between Lagan near to the Dalwhinne distillery through the Monadhlaith Hills (where Monarch of the Glen was filmed for the BBC a few years back) over the tops to Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. As for the mention of snow it's the same in Central Scotland it's onlt when you get further north that it becomes part of life - Wis Nae Me mores more about it! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
