off skiing to merribel next friday
temp drops to -20 to -30 is poss at night

what do you recommend i use for antifreeze and where do i put it?
silly question but diesel and water for washing the screen is the limit of my knowledge!

Alex I would suggest that you get some advice from your local dealer or take a look at what the owner's manual says.





Are you sure there will be enough snow to ski on.................. I've been reading in the travel sections of the sunday papers today that in most resorts the management are praying for a decent dump of snow at the moment. Hi, welshalex, the antifreeze in the coolant (pink stuff in expansion tank at front of engine bay) should have been put in as a 50 / 50 mix at factory,and should be fine down to -40. If you mean windscreen washer water antifreeze, I would suggest you may need to add some more anti freeze stuff to stop that freezing. Have a look in handbook for more details.

VA - limited snow but enough i hope on webcams looks ok, unlimited booze in chalet
so basicallly i can add antifreeze to washer water (got some autoglym to mix into correct ratio)
and can leave all else well alone??

nope , praying too, its cold but not too much snow , about 40-50cm on top slopes, come on snow

DON'T add car radiator antifreeze to the washer bottle - use neat or not too diluted screen cleaner as that already has an anti-freezing additive in it. You can get window washer winter concentrate from Halfords. If you add car radiator antifreeze you will strip the paint off your car when you wash the windows! It really is that corrosive!
