6,500 Km's and have not been taking it easy Wink I really do think you get the best out of diesels when they are driven hard early in the piece, based on numerous farm utes owned in the past, and so far have a combined l/100km of 10.2. That works out at about 28 MPG, will give an update after i get my upgrade next week!

Up until recently I have been getting between 28 and 31 mpg a tankful but the last tankful is only giving 25.8mpg.................. I put it down to the FBH cutting in on colder mornings but then I hear that we have had the warmest December and November ever recorded, so the FBH cann't have run that much.
I refill the tank to the same level each time - the level is when I can see the diesel right up in the top of the filler, which takes a fair time to achieve due to foaming in the tank but it does ensure that I fillup to the same level regardless of the forecourt I use. I also zero the trip miles and ave MPG calculator at each fill up. Will post my excel spreadsheats shortly so you can all comment! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

12000 miles on clock now havent reset clock for about 2000 miles and im getting 24.8, mostly country lanes to and from work only which contributes 18 miles per day and the dam thing has only just got warm, The FBH has been working a lot as the temp has been around 5d c quite a lot around here in the morning and at night which is when i drive the most.
Does the FBH contribute to the mpg readings, (would have thought so)

Tim you must do a lot of motorway miles to achive 30 mpg or is it all down hill driving from up there Very Happy some of my Previous cars

Most journeys are 16 miles from home to Stirling and back on a fairly flat and straight road where I can use the cruise, but my best mpgs have always been on the drive from here to Southampton (525 miles one way), sat at 70 on cruise control for long stretches. Now have 15500 miles up. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
