Headrest Screens and DVD Player

Does anybody know where you can get the headrest screens and DVD player fitted ? Also do they integrate into the Infotainment system as if they had been factory fitted ??

In general, retrofitting any factory only options is not done beyond basic bits. It's always "possible", but it would be cost prohibitive (parts, labor)... and don't expect much help from a Land Rover service department, as it's completely unsupported from their point of view.

The factory RSES system would take a lot. New headsets with screens, 6-disc DVD changer, RSES module, wiring, etc. It might be more cost effective to trade in your vehicle!

You'll note the Land Rover "dealer install" kit DVD kit for the RRS is a roof mount "all-in-one" system and nothing llike the factory system.

Obviously, a 3rd party system that doesn't fully integrate beyond audio input would be much cheaper. Of course, don't let me stop you... I'd love to see someone attempt it. Very Happy

Yes it is - there is an item about doing what you guys want to do in one of the recent (ie last 2 months) issues of one of the Land Rover mags and there they ended up going to Alpine for help as they couldn't get things to integrate properly. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Similar prob to Keith with a warning symbol coming up, but disappearing on re-start.
Apart from that, brill car. Just had the headrest screens and 2 DVD players fitted by Edgeworthy's of Aylesbury, and the runner boards/mudflaps which we saw on an S/C at MPH 05 at Earls Court which finished the car off nicely. looking forward to the free half day play on the offroad course near Newton Longville (Milton Keynes).
Good luck with the new car.

I think it is fitted in the cubby hole that you get access to from the rear loadspace drivers side . There is a hatch that you can remove with space behind it .

Hi Nick

thats a bit of a small hole, or is it bigger if you have the factory system.

I have seen of a after marker installers website a picture of the multi changer installed in the void under the off side rear seats..it look quite neat.

if I find the pictures I will post a link here

Hi Neil
Yes it is a small hole but the void behind I think is where the DVD Changer is mounted . Maybe someone with the factory fitted kit can confirm ?
