I've had mudflaps from new and the muck still gets in. Who knows what it would be like without them. They certainly reduce the amount of dirt and grit sprayed up onto the exterior paintwork though SDV6 (14.5) Corris Grey NZ Spec + door mouldings, mud flaps and tow bar

Have been experimenting with ways of stopping mud getting in between inside door skin and sill. The rubber seal along the bottom of the door is about 25-30mm shorter than it should be. My current solution is a piece of stiffish rubber sheeting about 150x140mm x 4mm glued to the under side of the piece of sill in front of the door and extending back far enough to cover the gap (i.e 25-30mm). Can't be seen when the door is closed, quite neat and tidy and seems to work. See photo 'Horizontal_1 an _2' in my gallery ('cos I don't know how to include photos here - can someone tell me how?)
