But it will go 90% of the places a RRS will go, the competition won't.

Russia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

RRS is a Range Rover first of all. Rolling Eyes
Freelander is a cheap toyota rav4 class... Who cares how does it handle? It doesn't matter, because RRS is still a vehicle of a higher class. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Don't you mean that 90% of owners won't take it to places it is capable of going..................... which is about 90% of the places an RRS will go 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It's lighter and lower... it's bound to be a better driving proposition, but I tend to agree with what Kaine is saying. It's not an RRS and therefore won't appeal to the same buyers... it appeals to the likes of Mrs Shmoogle who wants something utilitarian but not overly big or expensive to buy/run.

I haven't managed to bag a drive in one yet, but have crawled all over several and I have to say I like it. It seems a solid car and infinitely improved over the old one.

Perhaps I just don't get why you bought the car Confused Did you buy the car because of what it can do, did you buy it because it says RR on the bonnet. It has the same seats as your car, a similar interior to your car (sorry tf9 I'm not going on about the interior of your car too much Wink ) It will go everywhere and more than most of you will ever drive your cars, it is faster than your car, it is more economical than your car and it is cheaper!

So from that list I guess you bought it because your car says RR on the front? So if the Freelander says RR on the front it must be a better buy, except for you SC chaps. Your car is a LR not a RR, perhaps you should have all saved £20K and bought one of these. They even fold the mirrors in on their own and have a better pti system Wink Wink Wink Wink

Russia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Btw I've got Alcantara black roof Cool
And my car does 0-60mph in 6.6 secs (with little mods) and has over 150mph topspeed. It sounds greatly and makes people turn their heads when their hear it. And the car is welcome everywhere, I mean everywhere - theaters, operas, luxury shops and restraunts... Can you say that about freelander? Yes, Freelander is a good one, may be it is better then others, but it is just not RRS. RRS is from other league. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Have just been into Morrisons and had a seat in the F2................... they have an SE in Tambora on the show floor and a narvik Black HSE on display with a Bonatti type grey out on the road with a Tambora and another Grey with full body kit as a demo. Must admit that it is a very nicely finished wee car - especially the Narvik HSE that has a load of extras but no body kit. I look forward to getting a test drive in one in the next week. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I bought the RRS for a few basic reasons;

1 - its a competant offroad 4x4
2 - it looks superb
3 - it gives me the WOW factor

Very Happy Very Happy

Can I just come in on this one. No it's not a RRS you all correct on that one.

I do like the RRS and if that's is the motor you want to drive about in or have as a company car then that's fine.

Would I have a RRS maybe if I could afford one but I'm that hard up it would only ever be a dream.

So for me the Freelander is a cracking car and looks like a baby Range Rover which I am happy about drive better than a Sport faster than the D3 so it's all good for me.

Maybe I'll get a sport one day if I win the lottery. Very Happy

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

no doubt Fl2 is great in it's class!
btw I've used to call rrs a baby-range, so it appears that freelander would be baby of baby-range ^) Wink 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500
