Had a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and back in june I cocked a bend up and ran wide on the exit, Hit a Vaux astra Head on at 60mph. I was the only one injured. Ripped off little finger, broken scapula (shoulder blade) Dislocated shoulder, cracked ribs, de-gloved knee, compound fracture to 3 toes and black and blue all over. 2 weeks in hospital. Lucky bloke though. But the police see it fit to take it to court on careless driving charge. My solicitor is trying to get me on a driver improvment course instead of points and fine. The CPS service have asked the police to re-look at the case. Now have to wait and see the outcome. Since the crash I have been on an advanced driving course to help reduce the penalty if poss. Done with bikes now, that road don't taste too nice! 2007 TDV6HSE, Java black, 20" 10 spokes, super charger grill and vents, Sunroof, tv, fridge, brembo's plus all the other 2007 bits, Limo Priv glass, turbchipped 04 XC90 Gone 04 CBR1000RRFireblade Trashed 04 Freelander Sport Premium Gone 03 Freelander 1.8 Kalahari Gone-should have been blown up!! 02 Lexus IS200 Gone |

I am done with bikes too. The decision for me was witnessing a fatal bike crash rather than personally being a victim. But that left sufficently deep mental scars to have my bike (an Africa Twin) up for sale that very evening, never to be replaced. Human bodies are simply too vulnerable RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
