United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

That was my old RRS and our dog "Sadie". She's not happy cos when the dog bag comes out she gets excited because it means she going for an long walk out of the village. However, in that occasion it was just a photo shoot and after a few minutes she was wondering why we hadn't left!

DogBags are brilliant things. Not only does it keep the car mud and dog hair free, it can be used in the house as a sleep kennel. It's ideal when we go on holiday or stay away.

Same DogBag in the D3

The DogBags are fantastic things. They also fold up into a small rucksack that is provided with it. However, you've got to be Paul Daniels to get it back in to it without breaking it! Matt

Not at all.

Yes, the D3 is vast in the back. It's soooo much better. Matt

It certainly wins the space race & gold medal for cubby holes - the RRS struggle to house your mobile and sunglasses Sad

Came across your photo of the Dog Bag randomly while looking for something else. Until now, our boxer had been consigned to the back of the Volvo XC90 - but now, she will be able to ride in the RRS. Ordered one from The Roof Box Company - and they have been brilliant - I was trying to buy a "demo" model they had on sale but could not get the discount to apply. Sent and email and they sorted it out.

I think the Dog Bag is a brilliant idea...way cheaper than the Dyson Animal Pro vacuum cleaner I bought to sort the dog hair problem... 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

Interesting.

I've been looking at a slightly more expensive (but tougher) solution - http://www.dogtrailers.co.uk/boxes.html

I have 2 Dalmatians, which I really need to keep away from the interior trim, as their white fur gets absolutely everywhere.

Each Dal would fit into a MEDIUM dog bag, but does anyone know if 2 dog bags would fit side by side in the RRS boot? (they're 75x75x80) - as presumably the large bag (90x90x85) isn't really big enough for 2 medium / large sized dogs.

Actually, having checked the dimensions of the suitable transit box for the RRS, it appears that it is "only" about 96x90x68 - so....

Interesting indeed!

Looks a little to commercial for my liking ....

The Dogbag however looks kinder to both the car and pet dog Thumbs Up

Ok - so what sized dogbag would fit in the RRS boot? Is that last photo of an RRS, and is that a large bag or medium? Smile

If you ave several boistrous dogs you would be better with a proper travel cage such as Lintran. Sure they are a lot more expensive but they are safer (I've never seen a dog get out of one, but I have with soft and collapsible cages) They contain all the hair and dirt, are quite light and in the event of an accident will save your dog.

The alternative is to swap your dogs for cats. You don't ever have to take them anywhere apart from the vets. Whistle

Thanks for the answers Smile

I may buy one anyway, in the offchance it'll fit in my current S4 Wink I currently use a hatchbag (www.hatchbag.co.uk) but it never stays where it should, so I still get fur everywhere.

My dogs aren't boisterous, but have done about 20k miles in the back of my S4 over the last couple of years. They're so used to travelling...

Sorry shmoogle - that sounds like a good option, but I'm afraid I already have 3 cats, so swapping the dogs for cats would give me a whole heap of different problems. Big Cry Rolling with laughter

I've just ordered one of these for my MY2012 RRS (it arrives at the end of the month). It is for my Weimaraner who is still a 10 week old puppy, but she will grow into it. I'll let you know if I have any problems with it. I ordered the medium version but will get the large if she grows to be too big for the medium.
