M11

I am just back from a horse sale at Newmarket Suffolk and when driving up on the M11 from London City Airport towards Cambrige in my rental car, I have counted not less than 11 RRS and I have then seen 5 more during an hour of shopping in Cambridge. After that I have stopped counting...... As predicted by hamster Hammond on TG the RRS has already become a very popular car indeed....!

Here in Switzerland they still are a very rare sight but that will change in a month or two. I've been told that about 500 will be delivered between now and the end of January, all ordered after the car's launch back in June/July.

I would have come to say hello if I would have known but I am in Newmarket quite often for the races and sales and hope next time we will meet up and have a drink or two.

Roland - I remember when I first got my RRS and I went to the Derby there were a large number of horsey people all wanting a look and saying that they had one on order. Seems to be a popular car in the racing world. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Very annoyed - Yes it must have something to do with class, elegance and subtle power, attributes thoroughbreds and the RRS have aplenty.

Ah!! You should have said hello! I lived in Newmarket all my life before I moved to London 5 years due to job reloaction but my parents owns a racing stud there. You went to Tattersalls, I gather?

Angus,

Yes I was selling some foals and also bought a mare at Tattersalls. I board a number of broodmares outside Maynooth in Ireland and usually sell the better foals in Newmarket. You know it's about getting paid in pounds instead of euros which makes all the difference.

For horsey people Newmarket is like heaven and given the chance and MONEY and I would dearly like to buy a small stud farm in that area. But unfortunately your brits are doing just too well and property prices have become way out of reach for an average guy from the continent where everything has gone down the drain...!
