Aghhhh! but the sound from the overfinch tail pipes is
like sweet music !!! What tune do those pipes whistle ??

I did a similar thing to my X5 3.0D except I had a full system from the cats back. It certainly made the car sound much better, the only drawback to the pipes exiting straight out of the rear of the car was carbon particles catching on the rear panels and required constant cleaning.
This was worth the effort to hear the rumble of the pipes with the windows down. Not to loud not to quiet (no where near boy racer category but very subdued like a v. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.
