Fellas, can Brembo calipers be fitted straight onto standard HSE discs, is it worth the hassle/expense, and would grooved and/or drilled discs improve braking performance? |

If thats not enough, add the drilled or slotted discs.

Thanks! Can you recommend good pads? What about greenstuff (Red?), are they better than the standard Ferodo? Nobody seems to have slotted discs, any suggestions? Looks like Brembo would cost a fortune so I'll try the other options first.., if I can locate the parts!!! |

In the absence of specific brand recommendation, I'm going to fit Rossini grooved/drilled discs from Car Parts Direct on the front and Kevlar-based pads all round supplied by Twisted Performance. I'll post an update on difference once fitted! |

Let us know the performance and amount of dust that you get with the kevlar pads. |

Will do! Just awaiting front Rossini discs (£210), already have the full set of EBC greenstuff pads (£150), and will update when fitted. Incidentally, the application for the standard TDV6 is identical to D3. |

Right! Rossini front discs now fitted along with EBC greenstuff pads all 'round. Response is instantly much sharper than standard brakes, even BEFORE the bedding-in process is completed. Undoubtedly better braking, no need to stamp hard on the pedal anymore before bringing the bus to a halt.

Interesting tip, thanks Phil. Rossini are supposed to be manufactured from superior materials, including strength-improving manganese, but I'll advise if problems develop. Anybody needing further information should contact Martin at Car Parts Direct on 01332 290833 (UK Sole Importers).
