Just had another call - windscreen arrived and not damaged - on my way, fingers crossed it is a straight forward job MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Its done !

Stood there and watched like a father expecting his first child. Nervous bloody wreck.

Long job but no great drama. Have to dismantle half the car, well a fair bit, okay a bit of trim. Mirror and rain sensor same as on BMW so nothing new to the fitters.

New window comes with replacement plastic side panels, and top rubber strip. So the original side panels are discarded thankfully as they were slightly scratched during removal.

Overall not to bad - no real damage, couple of minute marks on paintwork under trim around plastic studs but can not be seen and nothing to worry about (were talking minute - really picky little marks). keep your eyes on the fitters (keeps them on their toes) and ensure everything goes back in the same place. Total time about 2 hours.

Yes Carglass are over here too. Have you checked that you got a screen with the heating elements built in? My father experienced getting a replacement front screen on a Ford Escort and the fitters ordered the wrong one and he had to drive with an unheatable screen until the correct one came in! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Apparently only 2 screens available for the sport - with or without heating - the correct one was installed - had 4 connectors coming out of the sides.
