United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Sportman, I believe Landrover have dropped Cherry Wood and replaced it with American Walnut. The Walnut finish is very similar to the Cherry Wood it replaces but the slight red tones in cherry are replaced with what look like slightly darker tones.

I have a picture of the American Walnut but afraid I dont know how to insert photos here to show you. I can email it to you if you wish.

After seeing the wood finish I have ordered it for my TDv8 (and my TDv6 has Cherry Wood). Personally I find Rhodium / Ebony interiors a bit dark as the doors get nothing to break up the total "blackness".

I'm sure cherry wood is no longer available as an option, sportman. There was an 2007 options list posted recently, do a search and see if you can find it Very Happy

there's no more cherry - it's rhodium, oak or walnut.

We will wait and see, I guess. Here in North America, advance orders for 2007 RRS Supercharged give owners a choice between cherry and oak for their interior (as well as S/C perforated or Lux non-perforated leather seats.) So, there. Smile

Straight Grained American Walnut is the only timber available for the 2007 MY, unless you go for HST which will have the lined oak (black).
check the images in my gallery to see...[/img]

I assume there are different options for different markets, as per Umberto's post?

It looks a bit "warmer" / redder than the cherrywood, its OK and a heap better than the Piano Wood of the FFRR interior! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the help with the photo link, I still don't think that these computer thingys will catch on!!
Please, please will more people be brave and spec Rimini, it looks even better in real life!!
The other thing to note is that the walnut is very softly lacquered, not all high gloss and ghastly.

The specs for 07s just came out on landroverusa.com... No American walnut for Americans. We still get good 'ole cherry wood on HSEs (with luxury packages), and choice of cherry or dark oak on S/C. It's odd that different markets would get different "woods", no?
