SVR Owners - Couple of Q’s? | |
Evening,
Long time member and with a couple of L320’s under my belt I am fast approaching the window to purchase an SVR. As a long get fan of LR products when the SVR came out it was mind bending what they had achieved - I read all the reviews and watched all the videos an thought ‘one day’.
Well ‘one day’ is nearly here and having been across the market, values, ups and downs there were a couple of questions if I may.
So I want an early car, as much as the newer lights/bonnet look much more modern, to my mind they blew it with the exhaust more and OPF filters. I would love a blue one as to me that’s a signature colour for an SVR and for practicality reasons would prefer the all grey/black interior rather than the cream split.
Initially I was just looking at 2015 cars, however then a couple of ‘16 plates dropped in and then one or two ‘17 as well. To all intents and purposes they look identical however I am aware around 2016 there was a mild facelift. Watching a few vids this week I was trying to work out what changed between the original 2015 car and the facelift?
Looks like it had newer HU with larger and more responsive touch screen, would I be right in saying the facelift also received ambient lighting or was that in all models from 2015?
The laughable thing that stood out was RFL of £195! Bonkers! So did the lower RFL come in on a specific date/year?
Are there any other significant differences between one of the first cars and a ‘facelift’ car?
Been running a few double cab pickups for the last few years and whilst people are that complimentary about MPG in an SVR, given the price disparity I reckon it will return similar to my double cabs with AT tyres on. Ikmlw a lot of people don’t ‘get’ the SVR but for me it’s the perfect car, our daughter has a horse which gets towed around the countryside and I am a petrolhead. In order to tick these boxes I need a double cab truck for towing (which is now of course a car!) and a V8 sports car to enjoy some Europe road trips and driving holidays with my friends. To my mind I can save (man maths) money and combine two cars into one and buy an SVR.
Be great to hear from any owners on the above, how you have found yours and what you came from by way of comparison.
Cheers
