I’ve had three of them over the past years and the latest has done over 70,000 miles and no problems..

Does the noise change with a change of direction, I.e leaning the car around a bend? How many miles has yours done? Tyre wear? They drive certainly noisier if tyres are towards their end of life…

its done 70000, I,m leaning towards the prop or diff, the seal was changed by previous owner, and i've since found out this is a common thing leading to diff failure, ie, seal and pinion bearing not being reset properly.
Could be a warranty claim from dealer. Neutral
