TOPPING UP THE COOLANT

How often topping up the coolant is required ?
Does the MY2025 RRSPORT has low coolant warning lamp or indication ?
How much coolant is normal to add every 1600 km (1000 miles) ?
Thank you all for your participation.

I haven’t had to top mine at all in 15 months and 15000 miles (D350).

But there have been reports of others needing to top up more frequently either due to minor (almost undetectable) leaks or insufficient coolant from new (airlocks).

Good morning and many thanks.

Having a look at the iGuide for MY2025 RRSPORT D300, i see that the low coolant level warning lamp(yellow)/message has been omitted. This makes me nervous knowing that i will be
warned only when the engine temperature is too high.

Concerning the airlocks does the problem stop after 2-3 toppings?

I don’t know as it hasn’t happened to mine. I would top up and keep a close eye on it with regular checks. If you need to keep topping up something is wrong and I would go straight to dealer

I would say pretty much never.

I have just had my expansion tank and cap changed after loosing coolant as apparently there is now a known issue with them.

What MY ?
Mine the expansion tank is covered with little red powder around the middle reinforcing ring.
Is that sign of leakage?
Thank you
