so, 2016 RRS AB. Rear view camera is failing, giving it a good warm up has improved things but not a 100% cure.

Does anyone know if you can use an alternate part number as a replacement.

My number is GK62-19G590-BB.

There several cameras with different part numbers and 6 pins that look the same, but will they work?

Our 2012 RRS had this problem just before we bought the car, and the supplying dealer agreed to replace the camera before selling us the car. He said it would be an easy twenty-minute job.......which I believe actually swapping the part was, but the whole thing turned into a real nightmare for him because he could not easily source a new camera. The kit for our car is no longer available from JLR although he did manage to find on eventually.

For your part number there are several options on Bay for around £220 a pop, but these come with warnings that unless part numbers match exactly they will not work.

From our indirect experience I'd say probably best to match part numbers. I can see that other apparently identical cameras with slightly different numbers are available - and are much cheaper, hence guess your question.

An opinion of course, and not a direct answer to your question, but based on recent similar experience, were it me I think I'd go for a direct like-for-like replacement
