evoque keyless entry

so
wifey has an evoque [14 plate ] and ive never been able to get the keyless entry working on it
it says on the build sheet [thanks peachey top bloke] that it has keyless entry and keyless start,
so
does this mean that it has keyless entry that you can keep your key/remote in your pocket and you can unlock by just putting your hand round the handle or lock it by pressing the dimple on the handle
or does it just mean
keyless using the blipper

cant find anything constructive on the evoque forums

thanks in advance nige

It has probably just been disabled. You can reverse it:

cheers
tried that until i almost flattened the battery in the blipper
didn't know about the 3 second thing so tried it again a number of times but no joy
it just flashes the headlamps

can do it on my sport so i know[think] im doing it right , just cant get it to work on the evoque

can only assume keyless entry is not enabled on it

That's a shame. Sad

You're not the only one though - it won't work on my Sport either. Yet everyone else I know who has one can do it. I'd like to disable mine for the extra security when I'm in a 'rougher' area - it's no hassle to press a button.
