The original compressor would most likely have been Hitachi,, still available I believe but a lot of people fit AMK compressors as at one point were easier to get hold of. They are a better unit but a little more expensive compared to Hitachi and also require a software update in order to function at their best. 2010 RRS, TDV8

black perforated leather

heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!

I have the same car

I bought this and it works fine.
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/hitachi/13965231
Easy swap.

The price fluctuates daily. Once it hit £350 I bought and it came a few days later.
Also bought this which was needed.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313508686131

Also bought a new bracket and painted in hammerite.
Mine was falling apart.

Replaced all nuts and bolts using Advanced Factors.

You also need a new relay. The autodoc compressor came with one.
The hardest part is getting the top cover off and on.
Then plenty of grease and contact cleaner.

Also, save your rubber bushings from the bracket and use Liquid Molly Rubber protector.

Works fine now. L320 Range Rover Sport 2008

Why would you want to fit the more expensive AMK unit if you are not going to install it correctly. I don't know if it would function satisfactory without the software upgrade. You may as well stick with Hitachi as it's1 a straight swap. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Just ment until I can get it in for updating as I take it it’s only done by rangerover dealers or can it be done via IID TOOL

Ahh, I see,, I did read somewhere that someone had fitted one and it worked but it was only half a story so to speak. Not sure it's dealer only upgrade, a competent indie should be able to sort it out. 2010 RRS, TDV8
