Discs and pads after 20000 miles?

P460 is in for its 2nd service and I am being told it needs new front disc and pads after 20000 miles and 15 month old.

Total cost £1627.

This doesn’t feel right, anybody else had a similar issue or can recommend having it done elsewhere? ——————————————

'Your insight serves you well'. Wink

I'd smell a rat there too. I'd seek out another opinion if I were you . . .

So, I didn’t accept the quote and was offered a further discount but still declined.

I pushed on why the discs needed changing so soon and was told that they had started to corrode, I asked was it reasonable to expect something to corrode in 15 months. They sent someone out to explain that it was wear and tear, I challenged that you said corrosion.

It was quickly downgraded from a red item to an advisory and now I only need pads 🤯

Hopefully this post stops someone being ripped off. ——————————————

Begs the question, do you need pads? If so, any garage can do them. Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e
