Another update. Paddles.

As I mentioned in my retro-fit of a heated steering wheel, the new wheel has paddles, although they didn't work.

I bought SDD V165 which I tried yesterday, but I had no luck finding any option to activate them. So, I might have to bite the bullet and get a Gap IID as the folks at Powerful think that would work. Unless anyone on here knows where I may have gone wrong in SDD. I was in engineering mode!

I'll leave the Gap until I'm back over in the UK later in the year.

Another update with good news.

I decided to get a Gap IID3 from the chap in York and after obtaining the full CCF from the chaps at Gap, I had a go at activating the paddle shift.
Suffice to say, it works in both normal drive and sport mode, exactly as it should.

Programming with the Gap is so much faster than SDD, it literally took 5 minutes.

I'm really pleased at the result, this and the heated steering wheel have made things much better.

Good to hear you got it fixed and thanks for the report so that others can do the same update if they wish. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks.

At first it seemed a bit complicated, but as the heated steering wheel came with everything attached, it was a breeze, albeit needing the Gap IID and the clock spring.

I forgot to mention that when the paddles are being used, the message 'Shift Command' shows up in the centre of the dash as well.
