ACE Yellow Fault

Hello,

Just inherited 2015 RRS. Got a yellow ACE warning light on the dash, haven't taken it to the garage yet, but it's a clear leak as there's a puddle under the car and as soon as fill up the tank it empties over night, now given how quickly it empties I assume it's a pretty severe leak or even burst pipe.

I had a look underneath the car and tracked down the leak to a point, but couldn't go any further. I have come across this disconnected pipe... Anyone have a clue what this might be? I'm hoping it's an ace pipe and that is why it's coming out so fast.

The pipe is underneath the engine, nearside (UK).

Thanks in advance 👍

Took the side under tray off and found the problem, pipe corroded at the front end. Now, RR garage quoted £2k to replace entire front ACE section. The rest of the pipes are completely fine and only need a small section replaced.

There an exact replacement section available on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267039668354?mk...media=COPY

Has anyone ever done this? Looks fairly straight forward on the books...

I don't think many ppl are working on that age car.

Also this subsection doesn't get much traffic.

You best give it ago!

If you are sure its suitable for your sport model

The gent who engineers the pipes has videos on how to do it too, so should be straight forward - will keep people updated. This could potentially save me £1.9k!

RR said anywhere between £500-600 for either front or rear set of pipes. Would have to be put on a back order, waiting time anywhere between 2-3 months 😳😅

Can get used ones on eBay for roughly the same prices though...

I mean £144 for a tiny pipe seems steep, but given the alternative options I think it's very reasonable. I had a good look at the rest of ACE Pipes and they're all in perfect condition - I don't understand why it's so common for them to rot in that specific area...

It's maybe different for us up here. If the pipes have rotted through there, they're pretty well Censored everywhere else Laughing
