Remove rear door panel while door is shut

Hello, i am looking for some advice we have recently purchased a Sport 3.6 V8 2008 model and the rear passenger door wont open, can anyone help with the removal of the internal panel, we have taken the clips and screws out but still cannot remove the panel,

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

If it’s like the Discovery then the top edge is held down with clips along the top of the window channel and you have to give the panel a sharp tap upwards to release the spring clips..so lift the panel from the bottom and then bang the panel in an upwards direction..
Be aware though that the panel will only lift up so far as the cable for the door release will stop it lifting off totally until the cable is released.. also the electric window switch wiring will need releasing.

I had the same issue a few years ago and that worked. It was still a bit of faffing about but got there.
I also remember a V70 bonnet cable snapping from the catch at the bonnet.... that was fun.
