United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Java Black
Reccomendation for Local Indy

Hi All,

I currently own a 2012 RRS, its my third one of these! I absolutely love them and recently (much to my familys disbelief) sold my 21 plate Ford Ranger so I could return to the beloved RRS.

My current vehicle is the facelift model and I love all the new little tweaks and upgrades....however I am experiencing a VERY annoying knock which seems to be coming from the rear, its a single 'thud' that happens every time i turn left or right. It will only happen once when I turn left/right and then once when i come out of the turn.

Initially I was convinced it was something in the boot rolling from side to side, but having emptied everything from the rear, its still happening and getting progessively worse Sad

It also seems that the RRS doesn't hold the road particularly well, its very 'twitchy' on motorway driving, which I do a lot of. I wonder if this maybe linked to whatever is causing the noise from the rear, if its in anyway linked to the suspension setup?

I have taken the vehicle to a couple of garages (not LR specilaists) and both have said they cant find any faults on the rear end, one of the garages also reported not being able to even hear the knock, which was a little concerning as its very noticeable!

Does anyone have any ideas where I can start to look for the cause of this noise or better still any local Indys to Norwich, Norfolk.

I'd be happy if there was a local DIY enthusiast who could take a look also? Id be nore than happy to pay for thier time and advice.

Id just like to find someone who loves these vehicles as much as I do and get the issue fixed!

Any help, guidance or reccomendations gratefully received!
