Which tyres?

2006 Sport. I am about to change the tyres. I'm thinking Pirelli P zero's would be the best choice? Unless someone knows better?!? Andrew Kennedy

There will always be someone who thinks they know better. Rolling with laughter Quite a few variables really, do you need a road biased tyre, summer, winter, offroad driving or a compromise of all, as in a all season tyre.

Cheers

As Col says - what are you using the tyres for? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I see what you mean Col. I went to the main tyre suppliers in my area in Brittany. The guy had me in his office for a good 30 minutes before we decided which were best for me (all year round Pirelli). He then relived me of over 1000 euros which included tracking. Andrew Kennedy

I have run the Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season tyre for years with no issues, may not be the ultimate tyre but personally suits my need's fine.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 275/45R20

I fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 5 275/45R20 tyres a couple of months ago. The difference in price between these tyres and cheaper tyres was not significant. I don't need all season tyres so it was the case of buying the best dry weather tyres.

My son who is currently learning to drive prefers my Honda Civic which is wearing Falken 205/40 18's as he says it handles better. You cannot win them all.

Michelin Latitude Sport 3 for me …. Well, it came with 3, and 1 Pirelli Scorpion … just waiting on a deal of some sort on Black Circles / Asda Tyres, then will pick up another Michelin.

…. Being a bit of a sucker for marketing, I quite like to see the Michelin man celebrating at motorsports events (think he’s normally bobbing about on Indy races) Smile

Had scorpions on my old 300TDI / TD5 discos - always found them fine on those and suited my needs.
