Warranty direct claim 4

So today my car has been at JAS doing some warranty work that had been authorized after various faults were identified during the last service. The total amount of works done to the car was £1720.00. My excess was £150.00 so that’s all it cost me. Another thumbs up for the warranty direct warranty from me.

What faults, out of interest?

What was the cost of the warranty? Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

So the UJ on the steering - did the gaiter split?

And what was wrong with your suspension arms? Bushes worn and they changed the lot including ARB bushes?

How many miles have you got on it?

If that’s the case with the arms, looks like warranty covers wear and tear?

The warranty cost £1200. Not cheap…The U joint I think it was the boot that was split as they was going to try an aftermarket one but said if the tech wasn’t happy with it as it was new to the market then the whole joint would need to be replaced (don’t know why) but the warranty agreed to replace the whole joint so no problem. Not too sure with suspension arms, corrosion rings a bell. My car has done 49k miles.

Mine failed its MOT for the same split gaiter and was subsequently replaced under warranty. That's on a 2017 with 55k miles. That's a bloody joke IMO - its a slow moving part and should not be failing at all!
