There is about 6mm clearance which is about the same as my 6-pot calipers and the 20 inch rim. |

All fitted with 255/55-19 Pirelli Scorpion tyres. The spare with the larger tyre fits under the back of the car too.

My car just requires a clean now to wash off the salt. |

Which Scorpion tyre did you fit in the end? It's an entire family of tyres. |

Pirelli Scorpion Zero but not the All Season or Verde versions. |

Oh, the ones that were fitted to the Disco back in the day? I didn't realise they still made them. Seemed to work well on the Disco. |

Yes indeed. I just realised that the rims look like the ones I had on my Disco 2 too! |

Just an update. I fitted new shape Defender 19” rims with 255/55-19 Pirelli tyres about 18 months ago. I wish I had done this so much sooner. The ride is slightly smoother and I’m less worried about potholes in the road. I’ve had no problems whatsoever apart from a nail that went straight through the tread of one of the tyres so had to buy a new tyre. |

I have just tested a 20" wheel with Goodyear Wrangler Duratec 255/55/R20 and it rubbed at the back of the front wheel arch when turning. I thought the L320 could take this size?! Was thinking maybe the 20mm wheel spacer I have was to blame or maybe the previous owner fiddled with the height modes using a GAP tool or similar...any thoughts? |

I doubt it’s a height mode issue.

No, that size tyre would have been on a 18" rim or 19" if a spare, not a 20"

This are the specs for what you could buy the car with. In reality some other size also fit. I've found people around the net using this size on their L320. |
