U0428-86 Invalid data.... Vehicle lean caution.

Hi Team,
We just got a 2007 RRS TDV8.
It has come with the Vehicle lean when cornering caution.
Gap tool presents the U0428-86 code, invalid data received from steering column.

I have reset the SAS to 0, it was reading -6.8 degrees with steering wheel and wheels straight.

No difference.

Unsure if the ride and handling is incorrect as do not want to drive it too hard or far!
Noticed a slight wobble in steering at high speeds, but rims and tyres are pretty bad so I am putting that to the side for now.

I am going to check the plastic bush on the steering column this evening, but cant find a thread that definitely links my issues with that solution.

Appears to be hard fault which comes on right away when turning key.

All thoughts welcomed

Plastic bush looks line, and is turning with the steering column

Fault returns almost instantly after clearing it with gap tool.

Not sure what else could possibly be unless the sensor itself is having a wobble?
Weird that the live values are reading though.
