MY24 D300. Premium Diesel or Normal Diesel

Do you recommend using premium diesel or normal diesel on the MY24 D300

Hi,

I’ve always run all our vehicles on what ever I can get my hands on.

I tried Shell V-power diesel and for the extra money, I couldn’t really tell any difference.

I avoid supermarket diesel. Normally fill with Esso, my filling station only has one type so assume Esso dont do a premium.

I always use premium of whatever brand but guess that is habit.. bit more expensive but gives me piece of mind.

In the last quarter million or so miles, since I gave up my company car and bought my own, mostly on motorways, and mostly with 100k plus diesel engines, I have almost exclusively used supermarket fuel.
Of the faults I have had over these years, none have been fuel related. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

I dont think there is anything wrong with supermarket fuel, however I am fairly certain that you get better MPG from none supermarket, brand name fuel.

if the reduced cost still out weights the loss in MPG is another question
