Seen a P400Ee, question is what do I do next??...

In total confusion now , seen a decent p400e for sale higher mileage but that doesn't put me off as Im buying a battery for my house solar so even if the ev battery only charges to 25 miles its all free anyway as Im storing solar charge in my house battery.

or for a little bit more;

Now the question is what to do with my L494.... 140K on the clock full clean MOT, just been serviced, just had both manifolds replaced and also had timing belt done (also had front end of car repsrayed so no stone chips anywhere , along with full acid alloy refurbishment). Will anyone touch it or do I basically use it until it dies... Realistically I don't think they'll even take it as a part ex or do I sell privately and get prob around £15k?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Personally I would avoid the early P400e's, there seem to be several battery failures on them.
I would certainly want a warranty that fully covered the battery.

Check the history and make sure it was not bought new for BIK reasons and never charged during it's ownership.

Certainly insist on seeing it fully charged before buying and expect a decent EV range.

Good Luck! 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

So Ive been thinking about a P400e a lot but now Im thinking of a new defender , well 2020+ on wards trying to find some info on the 3.0 D250 engine, Im trying to find out if this is the same engine thats on the 2018+ Disco Sports as they are know to failure also.

I dont want to be jumping from the frying pan into the fire!

Heres some examples Ive seen on AT;

and the 2.0 version which I presume is the same 2.0L petrol engine that is in the p400e hybrids?;

United Kingdom

I don't think that a Disco Sport has ever had a 3.0l motor. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Ah sorry I think its the 2.5 L - Ive seen a lot of Disco owners suffering from 'Disco Death' as they put it.
Usual crank issue or spun bearing.
