Aircon

Hi, Is it possible to remove the aircon pump and pipe work ,and use a shorter fan belt . Aircon not working to costly to replace parts , been quoted nearly £1500 Thanks

Yeah need replaced, along with condenser, before re gased, parts plus labor and vat half the value of the car,

What's the parts and labour breakdown ? Used compressor £50 on ebay, quality condenser (new) £100 on ebay, 5hrs labour ? No need to buy a genuine LR condenser. Nat Tyres will do a regas for sub £50.

Can't find the quote, but they must be quoting for new land rover parts, think the pump was nearly £600 including vat, and regas was £70. Is there anyway you can check the pump myself, incase they're at it ,

I think you can just leave the faulty compressor on there unless it’s making a noise
