Intelligent Speed Assist
Hey
Does anybody know how the above new law from 7th July is due to impact JLR products sold after this date?
The 24MY bleeping can at least be disabled easily….

Hi,
There should be no changes.
Current JLR products are compliant with all the requirements, ISL, TSR, Journey recorder, some for several years.
I agree, de-selecting them is simple and part of my start-up routine, along with clearing the GHOST.
I have “customised” the settings if I don’t want to turn everything off.
I find the speed limit change function when in adaptive cruise very useful though!

Big brother is watching ever more closely.
Its not a great technological leap to link this now mandatory feature to the police database via gps and 'BINGO', speeding fines through your letterbox.
All in the name of revenue, sorry safety.
Wont be long before you get a message on your dash 'is your journey really necessary?' followed by 'during the hours of xx to xx you will be taxed xx per mile for the privilege of using your personal transport'. xx being variable at the whim of the anti car brigade in your local area.
