I’m trying to update the maps on my 2017 Autobiography RRS. I’ve done it successfully numerous times but now the update fails.

I have a Here maps subscription, download the maps to a USB stick, and then start the update in the car.
Yesterday it got to the end of the process and just said failed to update, I downloaded the maps again and now the process won’t even start.
I notice the maps are now 33gb and previously I think they were 31gb. Is it a memory issue?

What size stick are you using and have you used it before successfully? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

it's Sandisk 64gb stick - first time I've used it but exactly the same as the last one I used.

I just tried again, and the message is now as below:

All the maps that were on there are gone

I've just re-formatted the USB stick, and I'm trying downloading the maps again - but this is the 4th time I've downloaded the the maps now.

USB maps now recognised but update failing

I was able to resolve this.

Since I hadn’t used this usb stick before, I thought there may be a problem so used a new one

Second, I deleted the Here downloader app, using the uninstall procedure in the folder the app was in (I’m using a Mac) and downloaded it again

I logged out of the Here maps website, logged back in, and downloaded the maps once more

I then went through the normal update procedure in the car, and it worked!

I’m very happy about this as I’m taking the car on holiday soon and I use both the TomTom app in car play and the in-car navigation- I’ve found the phone sometimes gets too hot on a long trip and locks out.

Well done, glad a dealer visit was not required. That would have been an expensive exercise from them! 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled
