I had a L320 sdv6 sport with a Alive tuning remap and that did 34 mpg with cruise set at 75mph on a run of 180 miles from mine to my parents. Round town it would do 24-26 mpg which was awesome so like a total idiot I sold it and bought a SVR

SVR on the same journey of 180 miles will do 28-30 with cruise set at 75mph which is great but round town it drops to an average of 15-16 if your sensible and 12 if your not.

Both cars have always done about 2mpg less on the 180 mile trip home for some reason even with cruise set at 75 but I'm guessing there must be more uphill on the way back 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Only averaged 16.7 mpg in the supercharged.. I thought it would do better than that. My 4.4 X5 will get mid 20's on a run

What made you think a 16 year old 5ltr V8 PETROL Range Rover driving into Central London would be good on fuel? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I have a 2007 3.6ltr V8 DIESEL RRS which in London gave me 21 mpg at best, but now in the Highlands I get 32 mpg Whistle Whistle

You could drive very very slowly, but that’s not what the SC is for. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5

How do know if the knocking at the front has been sorted?

You can hear the knocking at the rear better

2012 sdv6 in town 20 -23 maybe. Best ever 33mpg, A9 average speed cams so 62mph cruise.

I did once get slightly under 18mpg on a quick run, but ain't saying where Smile

The First 240 miles of buying my 2009 tdv8 and either idling trying to figure out how it works, or impressing strangers with v8 noises or point and squirting between roundabouts. 20.7 MPG calcualted from the pump. Computer said 21.1 mpg. RRS TDV8 HSE 2008 - Tip Top and new to me atm

They are amazing figures for a big (not very aero dynamic) vehicle. I just got 40mpg on my L461 D350 on a 700 mile run!

My 5.0 ltr SC does 29-32 mpg on a long motorway run with the cruise control set at 70. Regular Saturday trip from Wigan to Shawbury (79 miles); and after 15 miles of motorway, it's the A49 & A41 followed by country lanes, but has never gone below 27 mpg. Run up to near Windermere last weekend, some big hills and narrow country lanes in the last 25 miles, still returned 29 mpg. Manage c. 16-19 mpg around town if it's warmed up and there's no traffic queues. All journeys done at speed limit, so no hyper-miling or tear-ar**ing 2013 L494 5.0 SC in Chile Red

Am disappointed if I get less than 35 on a run, regularly make runs from N. Midlands to N. Devon and to Chalfont nr London. Cruise set at just under camera speeds. Can sometimes average 38/39.
3.0 HSE 94k.
I do notice that as servicing becomes due, mileage drops slightly, as I'm making the same runs, at the same speeds, comparison is mildly interesting.
To be honest I use the mpg more as an indication of engine health than anything else. Fuel economy is not what I bought it for. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
