Evening all,

I have a 2010 Range Rover sport 3.0 diesel HSE luxury 140k miles and I’m looking for some advice please. I’m going to be changing the oil in the transfer box, gear box, and front and back diffs over the next 2 weekends.
Could you advise on the following….

Front diff oil type and quantity needed

Read diff oil type and quantity needed

Gear box oil type and quantity needed (I have new metal pan, gasket and filter)

Transfer box oil type and quantity needed.

Front Diff 75w90 fully synthetic, service fill 0.61 Liter's

Rear Diff 75w90 fully synthetic, service fill 1.18 Liter's. Unless you have a locking rear diff then it is a different oil and qty.

6 speed transmission Lifeguard 6, 8 speed transmission Lifeguard 8, quantity would depend on how you intend to go about changing it or how much much you intend to flush through it first, a bare minimum would probably be 10 Liter's. personally I would probably get something like a 20 Liter drum.

Transfer box is classed as a special oil, Ravenol TF-0870 is a alternative to a dealer's stupid price for the oil, service fill is 1.5 Liter's if I remember right, but it is just filled to the level plug.

Any of those grades/spec. will cross reference to alternative brands/suppliers and prices.
