Hi, my car went into the dealer a few weeks back for a few things and this was one of them. Unfortunately when they gave me the car back, they said your player only works with DVD's and not CD's - which it does for some weird reason! However, I had to point out to them that a DVD player should also play CD's too! So its going back in soon for another check up, I will let you know what we find out! |

That is strange. What I discovered is that if you put a DVD in then it will recognise the disc every time and will play it. If I put a CD in then it recognises it maybe 10% of the time. They didnt do anything yet. The CD for example just spins (you can hear it, but it fails to recognise it). See attached for when it recognises a disc. Although even on the odd occasion it recognises the CD and shows it on screen, it still will not play, strange! |

Hi, when you mentioned your player recognising DVD,s, i went and tried mine which also recognises and plays a DVD every time.It recognised a CD only once which is the first time it has done it and exactly the same as yours it sounded like it was trying to play the disc.

Wow, isn't that strange that they both play DVD's but not CD's every time! That is a good idea, let me know how you get on. thanks |

Well I am surprised, I really thought you were going to say it made no difference at all. That is great news, yes if you can message me details that would be great. I know not many people use CD's anymore, but I like to play my collection as well! I am guessing nobody has even used my cd player before and it has probably just been sitting there for the last 3 years unused. many thanks |

Yes exactly, you can play any standard DVD (not Blu ray or 4K) in the player and it will play on your front screen. I think for safety reasons though it goes off if you drive, it only works when stationary. Enjoy! |
