Poland 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

Just for the record - a brand new Edition One RR Sport was bought for 240k (that's UK pounds) today at my local dealer and the cheapest insurance (full coverage) was 10k per year. Regards etc.,

Wojtek

Admiral are quoting £1200 fully comp for a new 2024 D300 RRS for mid 40’s, rural Lincolnshire, no claims

LR insurance is £253 a month so £3k a year. LR are offering upto £150 off insurance on a new RRS which would bring it on par with Admiral

The next price level is Sabre at £3k

Tried the brokers:

Chris Knott- existing insurer Highway(LV) refused to insure, he then went to the market and Sabre came back with £5k……£2k more than the same Sabre on a comparison site…..this industry is crazy!

Adrian Flux didn’t even bother to try and quote as £1200 was “cheap”

Has anyone else beat £1,200 and care to share the secret?!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

Just had mine through on Saturday for an end of the month renewal. £294 (was 323) after ringing Admiral, so a rise of £30 this year. Not really a guide against you lucky people with newer cars, but hey ho........For balance my wife's Mercedes E250 cabriolet only went up £18, both covered on this multicar cover. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Just tried the ones not on the comparison sites for the 2024 L461 and neither DirectLine, Aviva, or Hastings would quote.

Working my way through this list

Dread to think what it must be like living near the big smoke!

I’ll update if i find anyone else with a semblance of reasonableness

Surely with all the security updates JLR are doing will filter through into the insurance databases eventually………heres hoping![/img]

Hi All,
new to the forum and am in a similar situation re. insurance. I'm looking to get new RRSport P460e available within 2 weeks from local dealer. Before I pull the trigger thought I'd check on insurance. I've tried Admiral, Aviva, NFU, Esure, Hastings and few others and most of them declined to insure Admiral quoted £7300.

LR insurance is quoting £468 a month. I also tried to inquire about £150 contribution from LR insurance for new P460e but sadly it's only available to retail customers not the business customers so back to square one.

I have 16 year no claim discount and clean licence.

Has anyone recently managed to get insurance for their brand new range rover sport?

A grand to insure something that costs, what, £90k+ isn't bad really. When one thinks that something that costs £10k can be £500 to insure, the £1k is actually good value, relatively speaking. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
