It is a good idea to add more Christmas trees at the rear of the hood sound proofing as the factory setup does not work that well.

Not much point doing that on my old 5.0L S/C as they have a noise feedback system that transmits the engine/exhaust note into the interior of the car via a resonator/symposer. Very Happy Or In the words of L/R "to enhance the driving experience". Laughing

Ooh, thanks for awakening this thread as it's reminded me I need to get a new bonnet "carpet" too. I recently found mine had been used as a home by a mouse - judging by the nutshells and seed husks that fell out of the drooping rear edge when I was topping up my screen wash at the time. Rolling Eyes Laughing 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
