Towing Software?

I’ve noticed on my new to 2015 RRS that I don’t have the line on my camera that aims for the tow hitch on my caravan.

Is this something that’s done with a software update or done as part of a package when the car was specced? Or is it something I can do with my IID Tool?

Coming from a discovery 4 where you could see your tow ball I’m missing the aid!! 2004 D3 HSE TDV6

If you tap the screen you should have icons which turn on the tow hitch assist line and the car parking asssist lines

I'm pretty sure that the trailer tow assist is an optional extra. Whether this can be retro-fitted is something I have no idea about. 2021 P400e Autobiography

Tow assist and the lines to help hitch up are different things. The OP was asking about the line to assist the hitching of a trailer/caravan, not tow assists that aids when towing.

Thanks for the help and suggestions, I don’t have an option on my camera for the hitch line though?

You need to contact Pat at Gap and ask for access to the unconfirmed list.
I then searched for tow and it came up with a couple of options
I enabled towbar, trailer tow ball and trailer stability assist.

It then gives you the option on rear camera for tow ball.
I don’t use it as you still can’t see the tow ball so still have to guess.

You should get a RED dot which is where the ball is.

You should not have to guess.

I agree you do get a red dot showing where the tow ball should be.
But because of the angle the camera is you loose sight of the end of the hitch.
When it gets close. That’s why I said you have to guess.

I get spot on under the hitch every time.

Maybe I’m lucky…
