Trafic indecators.....

2006 Sport. My traffic indicator control is showing a fault. When indicating to go right, the speed of the flash is twice as fast as usual (indicating left remains as it always has been...a slow ticking thyme). I presume I need to change the control mechanism? Is this is a simple procedure? If so, where can I find the part on the car that needs changing? When ordering the part, does the part have a particular description. Andrew Kennedy

This is intended to show a blown bulb but on the odd occasion over the last 40 years as an auto electrician I have found one bulb not to be drawing sufficient current so although it flashes it triggers the fail mode ..just change the bulbs on one side. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Hi Andy and Col. Traffic indicator lights are working okay, however, I have recently changed the rear off site lighting unit - so what am I looking for to find the fault? Andrew Kennedy

On the unit you replaced.
Clean the contacts. And replace the bulb. That gives it a good chance to fix the issue

A nice simple, cheap fix is always a pleasure. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
