Central locking weirdness

Hi, don’t know if anyone can help as I’m at a loss now. I have a RRS 2006 with a central locking mystery, the vehicle will lock with the key fob and flash 3 times (indicators), but will not unlock with the key fob, to unlock you have to use the key in the passenger side door and then open the door, the alarm will sound and can be stopped by pressing the unlock on the key fob, the indicators will flash multiple times.
If you shut the passenger door onto its first catch the vehicle will lock and unlock fine but sound the horn to tell me the door is not shut properly, when you shut the door properly it will lock but not unlock again and you have to go through the same process again. It has been to 3 different specialists, had new door latches on both front door, a new receiver and is showing no fault codes, sorry this is long winded but this has been going on for about 6 months now. Hoping for some fresh ideas as I’m all out 🤯.
Thanks Duane

Is it the same with both key fobs?

Cheers

I would guess the car can’t unlock itself from a deadlocked condition. (Though somehow it manages it after alarm ?)

Can’t remember if deadlocking can be disabled in ccf or set not to deadlock on the first lock press

The real fault could be the cjb or a wire splice joint in one of the 3 locking black wires with coloured stripe.
They run on the cill floor sides (passenger side probably)

Just wondered if it could be a fault with the actual fob, but obviously as you haven't a spare can't actually try it to eliminate that thought.

Hi Col thanks for your replies, sorry I forgot to mention that the key fob was tested as well and is showing as ok, it has also had a new ultrasonic pod in the roof.
Thanks Duane

Thanks for your reply Andy K I will check the wire splices this weekend and if no change I will have to fork out for a new cjb, i was hoping to avoid this as it is a lot of money and it might still not cure the problem.
Thanks Duane

I have got an Autel pro which I can try, it seems to do most things on the RRS.

don't think that wouldn't do it.

these are the wire splices you should look at

Black with purple stripe (seams most likely)
black with green stripe
black with red stripe

Hi, quick update on progress, I have re-done several splices which looked a bit rough but the problem still persists, I tried my autel but it will not allow me to change anything in the ccf , but there is still no fault codes so I might have to bite the bullet and get a new cjb and hope this is the problem.
