Recalibration of EPB after installing new EPB module.

Needed a new parking brake module installed, as the original one seized. Ordered an official module, and the mechanic is now saying it needs recalibrated, but he's struggling to do this and mentioned something about computer software/something needing to go onto the module for this to be done.

He's not able to do this, so is taking it to another mechanic that is able to do this (apparently).

I was them informed that this may be because the part isn't an official part (it is) or the part may be faulty (which I doubt).

Has anyone experienced this before that is able to tell me what is actually going on with my car? I haven't had it in a month because I'm waiting on them to fix it. Every time they phone, there's always an issue with why they can't fix it, and I'm at my patience with it.

Strange I swapped mine out and was just plug and play..... no coding or anything needed.
Check if its a genuine part..

PS Usually might need to just drive around for 5 mins to let the module 'bed' in.
Doesn't need any coding etc,

I think the OP may have a L320 not a L494, if so extract from a MY12/13 workshop manual, although I think DM might be the man you need to confirm.
