As a RRS owner who has recently had a new main battery fitted after months of denial I would say if your battery is going flat after a week of no use it’s on it’s way out. Are you on the original battery? My battery would go flat if I washed the car. This is due to me opening doors , boot, bonnet, side steps coming in and out and everything else that goes on behind the scene with these cars. . The first time it happened I put it on charge overnight and everything seemed ok. I even went on holiday for 2 weeks left the car in the garage with alarm and keyless entry all activated and car started with no problem at all until I washed it again. This time I got the AA out and they said the battery is kaput New battery fitted and £285 poorer and all is ok. I have washed the car a few times since and all ok with no starting issues. My keyless is still active and sometimes not used for 2 weeks with no low battery issues. The battery that was replaced was the original one from the factory and was almost 9 year old. My car is a 2015 year. They say if you get 7 years out of a battery then you have done well…… |

I appreciate your comments, the battery was replaced last year so I don’t think that was the problem.
