Interesting colour for a test car. I guess they were seeing what it looked like.

Thanks! Yes, there is at least another FEU car in Giverny Green (chassis 191) and I know of a few others in unusual colours.

Will do. First fix is now properly complete. The car had the below lights on the dash when driven a few feet.

As it’s Valentine’s Day I thought I’d not ignore the RRS on this special occasion. I know things may seem a little out of order here as it needs some mechanical service too but I like to tinker after work and I’m awaiting parts so I thought I’d take the centre console out and see where the cup holder roller drawer was. As suspceted it was broken beyond repair so I’ve ordered a new one and I thought it would be rude not to clean this while it was out to make the cabin feel a bit more habitable.

This is a really cool project, considering the nature of this particular vehicle. Keep up the good work and keep us informed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Keep up the good work I replaced the cig socket just because the plastic surround that holds it in place had snapped and the bulb that alluminates it had fallen inside the console. Fitted a permanent power feed to the dash cam at the same time to free up said socket.

They weren't retro in 2005, of course. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks all, the 12v socket light fixing that illuminates the little storage box is broken on this one too. I’ll fix it properly when the roller blind for the cup holder arrives. Had to put it all back in the car as I needed the handbrake button at least 🤣 |

Decided to give the Sport a spruce inside as it wasn’t rainy for a few hours today and now I’d done the console it was setting the standard to improve the rest of it. It was quite bad inside and if smellovision had been invented you’d get the real joy of what it was like before as it was used for a year as the previous owners tip run car and he’d never cleaned it. This is the first deep clean, it will need more work but it’s better for now, that’s the aim. It’s also got a lot more, we’ll call it patina, than the photos suggest but we’ll gloss over that for now.
