Hi everyone , i will do my best to keep it short, ,

i bought a non running rrs tdv6 2.7 that had been taken to a local garage because it went into limp mode , garage charged the person for all new injectors (but they have not been changed from what i can see) then told them it was the high pressure pump.

by this point they had had enough and sold it as seen . Ive spent roughly 25 hrs so far building things back up that the garage had removed , broken wires , connectors etc etc

on cranking it is very slow, the battery checks to be ok but i will get a new one just incase. The car does start (i know this is forbidden ) on a squirt of brake cleaner for a couple of seconds then dies but sounds sweet when it is running (only done it once)

there is fuel getting to the top through the valve and the only codes on my diag computer are for the egr valves and ive just found out they have plates fitted to delete them.

If it was the high pressure pump would this not show as injector faults on the diagnostic?

any tips , help and experiance would be hughly appreciated

Hi everyone , I managed to get the sport running but it’s running really rough. Won’t rev etc and idle is erratic. I’ve pulled the codes and I’m getting the following

Injector control pressure too high
Cylinder 1 balance - fuel trim at lower limit
Cylinder 4 balance - fuel trim at lower limit
Cylinder 3 balance - fuel trim at upper limit
Cylinder 2 balance - fuel trim at lower limit
Cylinder 5 balance - fuel trim at lower limit

Would I be correct in saying this would be the high pressure sensor on the HPFP?

I have removed the hpfp however I can’t find anyone to test it or a tested replacement where I am.
