Hi, I had the same problem in my 2014 AB (with the 1700W sig-ref system) a few months ago.

After much swearing and googling , a combination of this fixed it:

1). Remove the 3 or 4 fuses in the boot relating to hi-fi/infotainment - mine were in a small, grey separate fuse-box beneath the main one in the boot on driver's side, quite fiddly.

2). Charge the car's battery overnight

Next morning - fuses back in and it all worked perfectly and has been fine since.

I suspect you have water-ingress from a blocked sunroof drain...that needs to be sorted.

Good luck!

Well Punkawallah I did feel sceptical that your solution would work for me and it didn't! So I am guessing the amp has blown. Did manage to dig out the DAB unit in the boot and I can see there is no signal at all going to it. So guess I will have to rip out the passenger seat and see what I find. Thanks anyway. Current: 2014 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography 110k miles......will it make the 200k like the Boss did1

Here you go sir - get a car cover whilst your getting the repair done if the car is parked outside overnight

https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/sunroo...ge.351767/

And my repair details here

https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/wet-fl...ue.329344/

You basically need to drill out the sunroof hole - get a rubber bung connector like in the thread above seal around it with some seam sealer and the reconnect original drain hose - make sure you clean the
Drain hose out as it will be full of the old corroded roof nipple.

You sir are a star that looks a relatively easy job and your way means no need to remove the lining. In reality how long did it take you? Also where did you get the bungs from, guess I could get some from Halfords or the like? Current: 2014 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography 110k miles......will it make the 200k like the Boss did1

Hi yes eBay/amazon - takes about an hour each side - just undone the rubber seal and unscrew the interior grab handle this will give you some movement in the headlining to get your hand in to reattach the drain hose

Links for bungs -

Thanks again Karl. One hopefully final thing, do you know exactly where the outlet is? I know it's around the rear wheel arch somewhere but as I work in quite a muddy site I would like to check that it is not blocked at the outlet end. Current: 2014 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography 110k miles......will it make the 200k like the Boss did1

Thanks again Karl. I have just read through another post of yours I found elsewhere, very useful and informative.

Hi Karl

Managed to do the fix last weekend and I agree with you 100% it is a relatively easy job to do but it is a temp fix, thanks for the info and after all the rain this last week again saved the inside another soaking. I found a better and maybe a more permanent fix which I have done today. I will put that up as a separate post. Current: 2014 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography 110k miles......will it make the 200k like the Boss did1

I think I have the same problem, on both sides, however I'm struggling to get the headliner down far enough to see. Seems like the interior lights by the grab handles are holding up the liner. I cant see how to get them off. Anybody have any suggestions? RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Have you undone the 2 bolts that hold the handle? You can get a small torch in to see the connection but if it is broke off the pipe will be easy to grab and slide out. Current: 2014 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography 110k miles......will it make the 200k like the Boss did1

Take off the outer rubber weather seal that runs along the door aperature.

Thanks for the replies, I had already removed the grab handle, the rubber door trim and C pillar trim, but still struggling. Any suggestions how to detach the courtesy light? I think that will give me more access for my less than small hands.
Am looking to do a repair based on using an M8 x 40 brass bolt with a hole drilled up the middle as the drain. I plan to drill out the corroded stub to make an 8mm hole. I have a lathe so can reduce the bolt head thickness. Once bolted on with a rubber washer on the wet side, the drain pipe should fit over the protruding threads and seal with a bit of silicone and a hose clip.
Any flaws in my plan?

Not sure about the light, my hands are small enough to get in there. But, save yourself the bolt drilling and do as I did. Buy the pack from the link below it comes with threaded tube, 4mm nuts and washers etc. Worked a treat for me. This is M10 as you will find when you drill out the old stub it is leaves a 10mm hole. A couple of small pipe clamps and that's it. No need to even cut the pipe down, perfect length.
