Cheaper to ensure an SV than a P550e!!

Just got an insurance quote on a Sport SV and it came back at £4,000, got a quote on a P550e and it came back at £6,500!!! How is this? Is it because the SV is a new model and they possibly have no thefts recorded against it yet? 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!
2019 Range Rover Sport SVR in Madagascar orange arrived but never heard it coming but now rejected!
2019 Range Rover Sport SVR in Madagascar orange incoming

I went with admiral, have a G63, Panamaera Turbo S and the P550e all 73 plates and insured with admiral on a single policy and cost £3k a year. RRS was first to arrive of the three and they did that at 1700. 15 years no claims may help and always parked off road in secure garage overnight probably helps also outside of London

Just insured my new 24 D300, with NFU whom we have a lot of business with. It was £260 per annum less than my chopped in P400e and well under £1k premium, on a back to invoice new for old basis. Had to have CAT5S tracker and be off road parked. Live in rural area over 50 and 8 years protected NCD
