70 miles a day in one go or as a total split across a couple of journeys is great. It's doing a handful of miles in town that they hate.

I’m doing 35-40 each. Way to work so 70-80 total for the day, what mpg should I expect to be getting says it’s hitting around 25 is that normal? Absolutely love the car, I know people say they are prone to problems but I suppose if you treat it well it will treat you well? Other niggley bit is bottom boot button is stuck and won’t open the bottom but the glass opens, and sensors don’t seem to work or the cruise lol making it sound w**k but it’s great just need to spend a bit of time sorting few minor things. |

If it does have the strengthened oil pump you should get this done with the seal.

I was doing 64 miles a day on mainly a dual carriage way. I was getting an actual 28mpg but the lie-ometer said it was 32mpg. Maintenance is key to these complicated cars. Find a good indie and the myth these are so unreliable will be put to bed. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

With 135k on the clock and a partial history, unless I've got direct evidence that it was already done, I'd get the belt done and, as you say, ensure the stronger oil pump is in place. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
